Carolyn over at NuLife Foods was so sweet to contact me recently. She asked if we would like a sample box of their food to try for FREE! I did mention that she was so sweet. I , of course, said yes . Logan was one happy boy when the box arrived via UPS.
Before we get to the review part, go over to my other blog, Our Crazy Adventures in Autismland, to see what we did with the dry ice that came in the cooler. We got free food and a built in science lesson too. Does it get any better than that?
The box came with several items in it like cinnamon raisin bread, cookies, meatballs , chicken nuggets, chicken burgers and Logan's favorite, pizza. All the items were individually packaged but the directions came on one big sheet in the box. Hmmmm, I am not an organized individual so these were lost quickly. With that said , the items were still really easy to make even directionless.
All the items were tasty. Logan gobbled up the pizza and declared it the best he had ever eaten. I guess he highly recommends the pizza . I tried the cookies , the chicken nuggets and the meatballs. The meatballs were huge. Simply huge. That's why I got to try them as Dad made too many for Logan's spaghetti to handle. They were delicious and would make an excellent meatball sub. The cookies were good as well. They were a tasty treat right out of the oven. I loved how they were individually frozen so I could make as many or as little as I wanted.
Everything in the box was fantastic with the exception of the chicken nuggets. Logan thought they were good but not as good as the Angelfood ones that we get. I have to agree here. They had some weird aftertaste to them. If you haven't tasted chicken nuggets in a long time then these will pass for you. They weren't the tastiest though to me and Logan.
With that said, I will definietly be ordering from them again. The quality of the food was excellent, the shipping was fast and the prices seem reasonable. Hop on over to their website and check them out. They have graciously provided my readers with a discount code for 10% off. Just type in Chefpenny10 at the promo box. They offer a sample box just like we received . It would be a great investment to try out before you commit to a big order. Let me know what you got and how you liked it!
This review was written by me after I received a FREE box of food to sample from NULIFE. I would not have written this post wihtout their generosity. I do not get anything from your orders and the opinions in this post are entirely mine.
